On May 13, 2025, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) began commercial production of Nano DAP Liquid at two newly established nano fertiliser plants in Aonla (Bareilly district) and Phulpur (Prayagraj district), Uttar Pradesh.
Each plant has a daily production capacity of 2 lakh bottles, significantly boosting the national supply of this advanced liquid fertiliser. With the addition of these facilities, IFFCO's total daily capacity for Nano Fertilisers, including both Nano Urea and Nano DAP, has reached 9.5 lakh bottles across its five production units.
This expansion is aimed at strengthening support for Indian farmers by increasing access to cutting-edge fertiliser technologies that enhance crop productivity and promote sustainable agriculture.
Nano DAP Liquid is a next-generation fertiliser containing nano-sized nitrogen and phosphorus particles, designed for superior nutrient absorption and utilisation. This innovation is expected to transform Indian agriculture by increasing yields while reducing the quantity of fertiliser needed.
By delivering nutrients more efficiently, Nano DAP Liquid helps minimise nutrient loss, improve soil health, and support eco-friendly farming practices. It complements IFFCO’s other key innovation, Nano Urea Liquid, further cementing the cooperative’s leadership in sustainable agricultural solutions.
