The Sabarkantha District Co-op Milk Producers Union Ltd. is embarking on a major development project with the establishment of a new cattle feed plant in Hajipur, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This ₹107 crore investment will see the creation of a facility capable of producing 800 tonnes of cattle feed per day, marking a significant enhancement in the region’s agricultural infrastructure.
Scheduled to be operational within the next two years, the new plant is set to boost local dairy farming productivity by providing high-quality, nutritious feed to support cattle health and milk production. The facility will play a crucial role in improving the quality and quantity of dairy output, benefiting both individual farmers and the broader dairy industry.
This project aligns with the Union’s mission to support and enhance the livelihoods of local dairy farmers. By investing in advanced production technologies and efficient processing methods, the cattle feed plant aims to offer superior feed that promotes better growth and milk yield among cattle.
In addition to its production capabilities, the plant is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities in the region. The establishment of this facility will create jobs in various roles, including production, quality control, and maintenance, contributing positively to the local economy.
The development of the cattle feed plant reflects the Union’s commitment to advancing the dairy sector through sustainable and impactful investments. By improving feed quality and availability, the Union aims to strengthen Gujarat’s position as a leading dairy producer and support the growth of local farming communities.
