SLMG Beverages Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s largest bottling partners of The Coca-Cola Company, on Sunday inaugurated a greenfield beverage manufacturing facility in Nawanagar, located in Bihar’s Buxar district. The plant has been established with an investment of ₹1,200 crore.
According to the company, the new unit will substantially enhance beverage production capacity in eastern India while improving supply chain efficiency across the region.
Speaking as Chief Guest at the inauguration, Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, said the project underscores the state’s ongoing industrial progress. He noted that such large-scale investments not only strengthen Bihar’s economy but also generate significant employment opportunities at the local level.
The Nawanagar facility will serve as a primary supply hub for Bihar and adjoining markets, including Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Equipped with seven high-speed production lines, the plant has a total installed capacity exceeding 5,000 bottles per minute, making it one of the major beverage manufacturing units in the region.
