A Royal Ascent: Dusit International Plants Flag in Tehri Garhwal

Dusit International has signed a hotel management agreement with Atmosphere to launch its upper-midscale Dusit Princess brand in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal region, marking another step in the company’s expansion across India.

Expected to open in 2031 near Rishikesh, the project will be developed as a mixed-use hospitality destination that combines contemporary accommodation with wellness-focused experiences inspired by the Himalayan surroundings. The development will comprise 300 keys, including hotel rooms and luxury duplex villas, catering to leisure, wellness, and business travellers.

The property is planned to feature a comprehensive range of amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge, business centre, swimming pool, fitness centre, yoga facilities, and multipurpose event spaces. Guests will also have access to a dedicated clubhouse offering wellness and recreational facilities such as a spa, infinity pool, restaurant, squash court, mini-plex, bowling alley, and indoor gaming areas.

Situated close to one of India’s foremost centres for spirituality, wellness, and adventure tourism, the project is expected to enhance the region’s hospitality infrastructure and support growing tourism demand. The signing further strengthens Dusit International’s presence in India following the launch of its dusitD2 property in Fagu, Shimla, and underscores the company’s focus on expanding in high-growth leisure and wellness destinations across the country.
