Bengaluru to Welcome First LXR Hotel as Hilton Plans 29 New Indian Properties

Hilton, a global leader in hospitality, will introduce its luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in India with a flagship property in Bengaluru, set to open by 2026. This marks a key milestone in Hilton's growth strategy as it plans to add 29 new hotels across India over the next five years—aiming to double its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing travel markets.

At its inaugural brand showcase in India, Hilton spotlighted 10 of its global brands, including well-established names like Conrad Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton, as well as upcoming entries such as Waldorf Astoria, LXR Hotels & Resorts, the Curio Collection, and the economy-focused Spark.

DoubleTree by Hilton currently leads the company’s Indian portfolio, with 11 operational hotels and 12 more in development in cities including Siliguri, Bhopal, Kochi, and Chandigarh. The first Spark hotel in India is expected to open in 2025, joining over 130 Spark properties worldwide.

Hilton also plans to expand its Hampton by Hilton brand in states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Bihar, with 75 hotels in the pipeline. Chris Nassetta, Hilton’s President and CEO, underscored India’s growing strategic importance, highlighting the country's expanding hospitality demand across all segments—from luxury to economy.

Globally, Hilton operates more than 8,600 properties across 139 countries.
