IDCO 2.0: Odisha’s ₹3,500 Cr Plan to Fast-Track Industrial Growth

The Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) has unveiled a comprehensive suite of governance reforms, digital initiatives, and infrastructure projects designed to fast-track industrial development across the state.

During a high-level stakeholders’ meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary and IDCO Chairperson Usha Padhee, the corporation highlighted significant strides made over the last two years. IDCO expanded its land bank by nearly 6,000 acres, handed over 6,027 acres to large and medium enterprises, and facilitated land for 93 major projects.

Currently managing over 14,095 acres across 150 industrial estates and MSME parks—including specialized clusters for textiles, electronics, aluminium, and seafood—IDCO is driving massive capital development. The corporation is executing 147 infrastructure projects worth Rs 3,500 crore, alongside 117 newly proposed projects worth Rs 1,870 crore.

To further improve the state's business ecosystem, IDCO is introducing digital land platforms, automated mortgage NOCs, relaxed building rules, and accelerated approvals—aiming to complete the entire land allotment and possession process within just 30 days.
