UDTL Taps Into India's ₹2,600-Cr Premium Casing Market

United Drilling Tools (UDTL), a leading Indian manufacturer of specialized equipment for the oil and gas industry, has successfully supplied and deployed its premium connection casing pipes for Oil India (OIL). This milestone marks UDTL's entry into the high-value premium casing and tubing segment.

Under a development order from OIL, UDTL supplied 5,000 meters of 7-inch premium production casing pipes, which have been successfully installed and deployed in a gas well in Assam. The company is currently awaiting formal confirmation from OIL regarding the long-term field performance of its premium connection technology.

Designed with metal-to-metal sealing technology, premium connections provide leak-proof and gas-tight performance in challenging environments, including high-pressure, high-temperature, corrosive, deep, and highly deviated wells. India’s premium casing and tubing market is estimated at approximately ₹2,600 crore, with an annual demand of nearly 1.2 lakh tonnes. By entering this segment, UDTL positions itself to capture significant opportunities from national oil companies, private explorers, and oilfield service providers.
