AP Accelerates: 22 New Projects, ₹39,473 Cr Investment

At the eighth State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting held in Vijayawada on 17 July 2025, the Andhra Pradesh government approved 22 new industrial projects worth ₹39,473 crore, projected to generate 30,899 jobs across the state.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and attended by key cabinet members including Ministers Nara Lokesh, K. Atchannaidu, Payyavula Keshav, T.G. Bharat, Anagani Satyaprasad, Gottipati Ravikumar, Kandula Durgesh, Vasamsetti Subhash, along with Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and senior officials.

CM Naidu highlighted the momentum under the current administration, stating:
“Across eight SIPB meetings so far, we’ve approved 109 projects with a cumulative investment of ₹5,74,238 crore and employment potential for nearly 5.05 lakh individuals.”

The newly approved projects span several strategic sectors:

11 projects in industries and commerce, 7 projects in the energy sector, 3 tourism initiatives, 1 IT project, 1 food processing unit

Emphasising the state’s focus on tourism, the Chief Minister also called for integrated tourism development and a broader hospitality strategy that goes beyond core infrastructure.
