The Haryana government has resumed land acquisition efforts to expand industrial infrastructure in Ambala Cantonment, with plans to acquire approximately 2,600 acres adjacent to the Saha Industrial Area.
State Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij announced that the acquired land will be developed into a new Industrial Area and Logistics Park, supported by a nearby railway freight terminal. The integrated development aims to boost regional infrastructure, drive industrial growth, and create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities. The Minister has instructed the Ambala Deputy Commissioner to fast-track the acquisition process.
Several farmers have already shown willingness to offer their land through the e-Bhoomi portal. Officials emphasized that the strategic integration of the industrial zone, logistics hub, and freight terminal will streamline manufacturing, transportation, and export operations—positioning the project as a key contributor to Haryana’s economic development.
