Moglix Powers India's Infrastructure Future with New Bitumen Plant

Moglix, one of Asia’s leading B2B e-commerce and supply chain technology companies, has announced its foray into the energy and infrastructure sector through DRG Industries, its manufacturing arm. The company is setting up a state-of-the-art bitumen processing facility in Kosi Kalan, located in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

Scheduled to begin commercial production in July 2025, this strategic move aligns with India’s Viksit Bharat vision, which emphasises advanced and sustainable infrastructure development. As India—home to the world’s second-largest road network—shifts focus toward long-lasting roads and reduced environmental impact, Moglix is positioning itself at the forefront of this transformation.

The new facility will produce next-generation, high-performance bitumen products, including:

Polymer-modified bitumen, Microsurfacing-grade emulsions, Hard binders

These solutions are engineered to prolong road life, lower carbon emissions, and improve overall sustainability in infrastructure projects.

With a monthly processing capacity exceeding 28,000 tonnes, the Kosi Kalan plant features advanced automation and houses an in-house R&D centre focused on localised product innovation. One of the flagship offerings, microsurfacing, is a globally recognised method that seals surface cracks, doubles pavement lifespan, and significantly reduces maintenance costs compared to traditional resurfacing techniques.
