These projects represent a cumulative investment of ₹1.15 lakh crore and are expected to generate around 36,000 employment opportunities.
The initiatives are spread across Kalinganagar, Danagadi, and Badachana, reinforcing the region’s position as a key industrial hub in the state. The projects span a range of sectors including steel, ferro alloys, chemicals, solar energy, refractories, automotive components, warehousing, and food processing.
A major highlight is Tata Steel’s ₹47,599 crore expansion of its 5 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Kalinganagar, which is expected to create 4,625 jobs. Similarly, the JSL Group is investing ₹470 crore in a combined petroleum and solar energy project, while Abis Exports is setting up a poultry feed plant, further diversifying the region’s industrial base.
Among projects where work has already commenced, Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) leads with a ₹61,769 crore expansion of its steel plant, projected to generate 14,000 jobs.
