Jindal Stainless Powers Bengaluru Metro with Cutting-Edge Steel

Jindal Stainless has supplied 301N austenitic stainless steel for the Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 project, reinforcing its contribution to India's expanding urban transport infrastructure.

The project, which includes 53 trainsets and was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, features 1,031 tonnes of 301N stainless steel delivered by the company. Known for its high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, fire and crash protection, and low carbon footprint, the material is being used in key coach components such as roofs and structural elements, ensuring enhanced safety, durability, and operational efficiency.

Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, stated:
