Captain Polyplast (CPL), a leading manufacturer and exporter of micro-irrigation solutions, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company for empanelment under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme in Gujarat.
This empanelment authorizes CPL to supply off-grid standalone solar photovoltaic water pumping systems, marking a significant step forward in the company’s diversification into the solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) segment. Component-B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme focuses on replacing grid- and diesel-based irrigation systems with solar-powered alternatives, promoting renewable energy adoption in agriculture.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Ritesh Khichadia, Whole Time Director at CPL, said, “The empanelment under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme is a strategic milestone in our transition toward clean energy. It reinforces our commitment to delivering sustainable, technology-led solutions for Indian agriculture.”
The move is expected to drive stable revenue generation through government-backed initiatives, improve capacity utilization, and expand CPL’s presence across domestic and international markets, supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy in the clean energy and agri-tech space.
