Andhra Pradesh’s Kopparthi Mega Industrial Hub in Kadapa district is rapidly emerging as a key industrial growth centre. On September 2, 2025, Minister for HRD and IT, Nara Lokesh, inaugurated two major manufacturing units, marking a significant boost to the region’s industrial ecosystem.
Minister Lokesh launched TechnoDom India’s new LED TV manufacturing facility, established by the Dubai-based TechnoDom Group. With an initial investment of ₹121 crore, the plant will employ 300 people and produce 10 lakh LED TVs and 10 lakh monitors annually. The company has also announced a ₹55 crore expansion to manufacture refrigerators and air conditioners.
In the hub’s North Block, Texana World—a subsidiary of Mumbai-based Tex Port India—opened a garment manufacturing unit with a ₹50 crore investment. The facility is expected to generate 2,100 jobs, primarily for women. Tex Port currently manufactures over 1.7 crore garments annually across South India.
The Minister also inaugurated the Executive Centre Building, developed at a cost of ₹31.50 crore, which offers co-working and business facilities. Supported by ₹2,137 crore in Central government funding, the Kopparthi hub is already home to several firms, including AIL Dixon Technologies, which employs over 2,000 people.
