Alta Laboratories Plan to expand API in Maharashtra

Alta Laboratories Limited is coming up with an Active Pharmaceuticals Intermediates (APIs) Manufacturing Unit Project at Khalapur, Raigad, Maharashtra. The project is expected to cost 55.12 Crores.

The total plot area is 119600 Sq. m. The project will have a green belt area of 39682.39 Sq. m (33.17 % of Plot area).

The project will have a water requirement of 288.8 CMD. The existing water requirement is 265 CMD and the additional proposed water requirement is 322 CMD. The project will have a recycle water capacity of 298.2 CMD.

The project will have a trade waste water requirement of 251.5 CMD and a domestic waste water requirement of 32 CMD. The existing trade waste water requirement is 99.5 CMD and the additional proposed trade waste water requirement is 153 CMD. The existing domestic waste water requirement is 20 CMD and the additional proposed domestic waste water requirement is 12 CMD.

The project will have a sewage waste water requirement of 21 CMD for the industrial area and 11 CMD for the residential area. The sewage waste water will be treated in two proposed STPs of capacity 30 CMD and 15 CMD respectively. The treated waste water will be recycled and reused for gardening.

The project will have a power requirement of 2300 KW. The existing power requirement is 1500 KW and the additional proposed power requirement is 800 KW. The project will generate 100 KW of electricity from solar power.

The project will have a total of 600 parking spaces.

As on November 2023, The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
