AM/NS India: Now Hiring Fabricators for Andhra Mega-Plant

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India has invited expressions of interest (EoI) from qualified suppliers to establish a dedicated steel fabrication unit near its proposed integrated steel plant at Rajayyapeta in Andhra Pradesh.

The company indicated that the execution timeline for the fabrication unit could extend up to four years. Interested suppliers have been asked to submit detailed company profiles, including information on their business operations, annual turnover, current manufacturing capacity, and the monthly production volumes they can commit through the proposed facility.

The fabrication unit will support the construction of AM/NS India’s planned port-integrated integrated steel plant, which will have an initial production capacity of 8.20 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The large-scale project is expected to require around one million tonnes of fabricated steel structures during its construction phase.

Earlier, the company had proposed a 17.80 MTPA steel plant to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which approved the plan in November 2024 and allocated about 2,200 acres of land for the development.

Additionally, AM/NS India plans to divert a slurry pipeline from mines operated by National Mineral Development Corporation in Chhattisgarh to support the project’s raw material supply.
