Andhra Pradesh Charts Coastal Corridor for Global Industrial Hub

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has announced that Andhra Pradesh will develop an industriallogistics corridor connecting the coastal ports of Kakinada, Machilipatnam, and Krishnapatnam.

The project also includes establishing a world-class oil refinery near the ports. Speaking from Singapore during an official visit, Naidu invited global firms to partner in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial expansion. The AP delegation, which included ministers and officials, visited Singapore’s Jurong Petrochemical Island, developed via land reclamation and home to an integrated petrochemical and energy hub. They were briefed on international-standard operations involving crude oil processing, polymers, fuels, and specialty chemicals, along with advanced waste management and security systems.

CM Naidu emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s 1,053 km coastline, six operational ports, and four upcoming ones. He also highlighting plans for dry ports, inland water transport, and cruise tourism. “Five ports are within close proximity to Sri City,” he added, encouraging investors to study the state’s business-friendly policies.He assured prompt approvals under a proposed ‘Deemed to be Approved’ system.

Ministers Nara Lokesh, P Narayana, and TG Bharat accompanied Naidu during the visit, which focused on port-based industrial development.
