Anjalitai Canes Transforms Molasses into Renewable Power in Karnataka

Anjalitai Canes Private Limited is spearheading the development of a Molasses Based Distillery Unit in Halaga Village, Belagavi, Karnataka. With an estimated cost of Rs. 100.90 Crores and a production capacity of 90 KLPD (Kiloliters per day), the distillery unit focuses on utilizing molasses, a byproduct of sugar production, to generate alcohol for various industrial and commercial purposes. While the project holds the potential to create jobs and contribute to the local economy, it also raises concerns related to environmental impacts, particularly in waste disposal and water usage.

Currently in the early stages of development, specific details about the products to be produced, the environmental impact assessment, and the potential job creation aspects are not yet available. As the project progresses, further information is expected to provide a clearer understanding of the scope and implications of this Molasses Based Distillery Unit in Halaga Village.

As on January, 2024. Project is pending approval. Waiting for government permission. No further details determined.
