Atlas Copco has introduced its Reman Equipment Program in India, designed to restore used compressors and engines to like-new performance. This initiative aims to extend the lifespan of equipment, lower total ownership costs, and reduce environmental impact through sustainable remanufacturing practices.
The program involves refurbishing returned equipment to meet the same performance standards as new units, but at a significantly lower cost. Customers benefit from reduced capital investment, minimized downtime, and access to updated technologies—offering a smart and efficient alternative to purchasing new machinery.
This program is particularly valuable for industries such as construction, mining, oil and gas, and water well drilling, where high-performance, reliable compressors are essential. The remanufacturing process includes a detailed sequence: assessment, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, replacement of worn parts, reassembly, performance testing, and final finishing.
Each remanufactured unit undergoes rigorous quality and performance testing to ensure compliance with strict ISO certification standards. To further support reliability, Atlas Copco provides warranties on remanufactured equipment, covering defects in design and workmanship.
