BEL's Advanced Fuze Line Opens in Pune

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has launched its second assembly line for electronic fuzes used in artillery ammunition at its Pune facility in Maharashtra. The inauguration was led by Lt Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla, MGS of the Indian Army, along with BEL's CMD, Manoj Jain, and other distinguished guests.

This new facility supports the 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives, further strengthening the nation's defense capabilities. BEL-Pune had previously secured a Rs. 4,522 crore LT-MII contract in December 2023 to supply 50 lakh fuzes to the Indian Army over the next decade.

The additional assembly line will help meet the increasing demand, reinforcing BEL’s commitment to advancing self-reliant, high-tech defense manufacturing.
