Daikin Airconditioning India has inaugurated its third manufacturing facility, an integrated air-conditioning and compressor plant situated in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. This strategic move aims to expedite the supply of locally manufactured products to both domestic and international markets.
Spanning 75.5 acres, this state-of-the-art plant is established under a production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme and represents an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. Dedicated to fostering eco-friendly air conditioning solutions, the facility will cater to markets in West Africa, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, the Middle East, South America, and East Africa.
Capitalizing on India's vibrant market and skilled workforce, Daikin anticipates that this new facility will not only enhance the standards of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions but also significantly contribute to the growth of the industry in the country.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan-based Daikin Industries, Daikin Airconditioning operates approximately 100 production units globally and serves customers in over 170 countries. To date, the company has invested Rs 2,800 crore in India.
