Deccan Cements Plan to expand Clinker in Telangana

Deccan Cements Limited (DCL) is proposing to expand its existing cement plant at Mahankaligudem Village, Suryapet, Telangana. The project aims to increase the clinker production capacity from 1.70 MTPA (Million Tonnes Per Annum) to 3.20 MTPA. 

The expansion project will include the installation of a new kiln, upgrade of the existing power plant to 33 MW by installing a 15 MW Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant (WHRP), and expansion of the limestone mining capacity from 3.00 MTPA to 5.00 MTPA.

Total Capital Investment Cost: 600 crores.

The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. The work on the project is scheduled to begin in January of 2024.
