JTL Industries has successfully implemented Direct Forming Technology (DFT) at its Mangaon, Maharashtra facility, marking a major milestone in steel tube manufacturing. This cutting-edge innovation enhances efficiency, improves product quality, and reduces costs while significantly minimizing material wastage.
DFT enables the seamless production of hollow sections in various sizes without requiring roll changes, eliminating setup adjustments and boosting production speed. Unlike traditional methods that depend on multiple roll sets for different dimensions, DFT utilizes computerized automation for faster production, superior precision, cost savings, and enhanced flexibility.
With this advancement, JTL’s facility is now equipped to manufacture high-strength, precision-engineered steel tubes and profiles to meet both domestic and international market demands. The adoption of DFT has expanded JTL’s product range from 1,200 to 2,000 SKUs, enabling the production of square tubes up to 350x350 mm and rectangular tubes up to 400x300 mm, with material thicknesses of up to 14 mm.
Moreover, this technology is expected to reduce downtime by 33% and cut downtime-related costs by 25%, further improving operational efficiency.
