Digvijay Ferromet planning to set up Ferro Alloys Project in Jharkhand

Digvijay Ferromet Private Limited intends to build a ferro alloy facility in Balidih, Bokaro, Jharkhand, at Plot No. IV/A-4(P)2, Bokaro Industrial Estate. The corporation has requested environmental permission from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).The proposed factory will have a ferro alloy manufacturing capability of 62,700 TPA (metric tonnes per annum). The plant will manufacture ferro alloys such as silicon manganese, ferro manganese, and ferro silicon.Digvijay Ferromet intends to build a Ferro Alloys factory with a capacity of 62,700 tpa (Si-Mn 44550 tpa or Fe-Mn 62700 tpa or Fe-Si 21600 tpa) in Balidih, Jharkhand.The project would cost Rs. 63.20 crores and will employ 286 people. 

The business anticipates beginning commercial manufacturing around 2025.The proposed factory is in an industrial location with good access to road and rail networks. In addition, the corporation has committed to implementing a number of environmental measures to offset the project's potential impacts.

The project is projected to stimulate the local economy and generate new job opportunities. It will also aid in meeting the increasing demand for ferro alloys in both home and foreign markets.Here are some specifics about the proposed plant:Plot No. IV/A-4(P)2, Bokaro Industrial Estate, Balidih, Bokaro, Jharkhand would be the site of the plant.The project's total investment is anticipated to be Rs. 63.20 crores.The corporation has committed to a number of environmental initiatives, such as the usage of pollution control systems, rainwater collection, and waste water treatment.The projected plant represents a huge investment in India's ferro alloy industry. As of September 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
