Jindal (India), a key entity of the BC Jindal Group and a leading manufacturer of downstream steel products, has announced a strategic foray into the steel section pipes and tubes segment with a ₹100 crore investment at its advanced manufacturing facility in West Bengal. This expansion is aimed at tapping into the growing demand for steel tubes in both domestic and international markets across diverse sectors.
The company plans to achieve a monthly production capacity of 5,000 metric tonnes (MT) for section pipes and tubes, with an anticipated revenue of ₹315 crore by FY26. This capacity addition is expected to strengthen Jindal (India)’s market position, enabling deeper penetration in existing markets and facilitating expansion into new regions across the country. The new product line will cater to sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, railways, warehousing, and residential construction.
Over the past few years, Jindal (India) has broadened its operational footprint into northern and western India, which now contributes around 15% of its revenue. The company aims to further increase this share through targeted market expansion and scaling up of production. Operating from two state-of-the-art facilities in Howrah, West Bengal, Jindal (India) also specializes in advanced technologies such as colour coating, galvanizing, and galvalume processing.
