JK Cement, one of India’s leading cement producers, has commenced construction of its new greenfield manufacturing facility in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, with an estimated investment of ₹3,000 crore (₹30 billion).
Spread across 525 acres, the plant is slated for completion by early 2027 and is positioned to significantly strengthen JK Cement’s pan-India footprint, with a focus on meeting growing demand across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and neighboring regions. Its strategic location, close to rich limestone reserves, ensures secure access to key raw materials, enabling long-term operational sustainability and business scalability.
Commenting on the development, Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, stated:
“This plant marks a significant milestone in JK Cement’s journey of growth and resilience. By investing in Jaisalmer, we are laying the foundation for a future that will not only strengthen our production capabilities but also create new opportunities for employment, skill development, and progress.”
The facility will integrate advanced manufacturing technologies, including waste heat recovery systems (WHRS), as part of JK Cement’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction.
This initiative reinforces JK Cement’s strategic vision of building a resilient and eco-conscious manufacturing network aligned with India’s growing infrastructure and construction needs.
