Kirby Building System and Structures India has officially broken ground on a new pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB) manufacturing plant located at the Manapparai SIPCOT Industrial Park in Trichy.
Spanning 33 acres, the facility represents an investment of Rs 239.5 crore and is designed with an annual production capacity of one lakh metric tonnes. Commercial operations are slated to begin by mid-2027. Once fully functional, the plant is expected to create approximately 1,000 jobs over the coming years, significantly boosting industrial growth and employment in the Trichy region alongside Kirby's other ongoing initiatives across Tamil Nadu.
“We are strengthening our presence in southern India to stay closer to the country’s most dynamic industrial regions,” said Waleed K Alghanim, CEO of Kirby International, highlighting the strategic importance of the expansion.
