POCL Powers Up: New Plant Boosts Lead Metal Capacity

POCL Enterprises Ltd. has officially commenced commercial operations at its newly constructed facility located at A1, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Maraimalai Nagar, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu – 603209. The plant became operational on May 23, 2025, following the receipt of all necessary consents from the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB), including approvals for hazardous waste management.

This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone for POCL Enterprises, particularly in strengthening its lead metal business. The new unit adds an additional refining capacity of 11,000 Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) and an equal smelting capacity of 11,000 MTPA.

With this enhanced capacity, the company is well-positioned to meet growing market demand, handle larger contracts, and drive increased operational efficiency. The plant is expected to contribute approximately ₹200 crore in additional annual revenue, supporting POCL’s long-term growth objectives.
