Pune's Logistics Park: A ₹1,684 Crore Boost to Connectivity

The much-anticipated Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) near Pune is progressing steadily, with pre-feasibility studies completed and the bidding process underway.

With an investment of ₹1,684.77 crore, the MMLP aims to transform Pune’s freight ecosystem by integrating road, rail, and air transportation. Situated near Talegaon, the park will cover 334.96 acres and enjoy strategic connectivity to the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, NH-548D (Hyderabad route), and major railway lines linking Mumbai and Bengaluru. It is also in close proximity to the upcoming Pune International Airport and industrial hubs at Chakan and Talegaon MIDC.

The project is being developed as a public-private partnership (PPP) involving National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), and Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL). The special purpose vehicle (SPV) structure includes equity stakes of 57.27% by NHLML, 26% by RVNL, and 16.73% by MIDC.

Once operational, the MMLP will provide a comprehensive range of services, including freight aggregation, warehousing, cargo processing, and customs clearance. It is expected to significantly reduce logistics costs, enhance regional connectivity, and promote sustainable transport by lowering carbon emissions.
