Rehau's Red Star Polymers Doubles Down on India Expansion

Germany-based Rehau, a global leader in polymer-based solutions, is expanding its manufacturing footprint in India through its subsidiary, Red Star Polymers, located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.

The company has acquired 1.05 acres of industrial land adjacent to its current facility under a 99-year lease agreement. This expansion is aimed at boosting production capacity, streamlining operations, and enhancing efficiency at Red Star Polymers, in which Rehau acquired a 51% stake last year. The subsidiary specializes in PVC edgebands, widely used in furniture and interior applications, and is currently ramping up its production capacity.

This move aligns with Rehau’s broader strategy to position India as a key manufacturing and growth hub in the Asia-Pacific region. The expansion underscores the company's long-term commitment to the Indian market and its goal of meeting rising domestic demand with high-quality polymer solutions.
