Raghav Productivity Enhancers (RPEL) is investing around Rs 100 crore to set up a 3,50,000 MTPA silica ramming mass manufacturing facility in Odisha through a joint venture with TRL Krosaki Refractories.
The new facility will expand RPEL’s manufacturing footprint in eastern India and create a more efficient supply network closer to key consumption centres.
The project is part of RPEL’s strategy to build a multi-location manufacturing platform and scale its overall capacity to one million MTPA. The company currently has an aggregate group manufacturing capacity of 5,34,000 MTPA across operations in 26 states.
TRL Krosaki Refractories is backed by Japan’s Krosaki Harima Corporation and Nippon Steel Corporation. The Odisha facility is expected to strengthen RPEL’s manufacturing and supply-chain capabilities while supporting its long-term expansion across India.
