Seeta Sponge & Power Private Limited is embarking on a substantial venture with its Sponge Iron Unit Project in Bhibhauri, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. With an investment of 290 Crores, the project underscores the company's commitment to expanding its presence in the steel industry.
The Sponge Iron Unit is designed to have a production capacity of 2.31 lakh tonnes per annum (tpa) of sponge iron, a vital component in the steel-making process. Additionally, the project aims to produce 2.47 lakh tpa of mild steel billets, catering to diverse industrial applications.
Bhibhauri, located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was chosen as the project site due to its strategic advantages, including access to raw materials, skilled labor, and transportation infrastructure. These factors position the project for efficient operations and seamless integration into the steel supply chain.
The Sponge Iron Unit project is expected to generate employment opportunities, fostering socio-economic development in the region. Furthermore, it will contribute to the state's industrial growth and reinforce Chhattisgarh's position as a key player in India's steel manufacturing sector.
