Shree Cement Limited is planning to expand its cement plant at Benkanhalli, Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The project is estimated to cost 1400 crore and will increase the plant's capacity to 2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The project will also involve the construction of a new 2.1 MTPA clinker plant and a 6 MW captive power unit.
The expansion of the cement plant will allow Shree Cement Limited to meet the growing demand for cement in Karnataka and the surrounding states. The new clinker plant will ensure a steady supply of raw material for the cement plant. The captive power unit will provide a reliable source of electricity for the plant.
