In a remarkable development, a Hyderabad-based semiconductor company clinched a groundbreaking contract valued at Rs 509.37 crore from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). The project entails the design, development, and delivery of an HPC SoC leveraging the revolutionary 5nm process node. With a contract value of Rs 509.37 crore, plus an additional Rs 58 crore provision for re-spin, the endeavor is set to span over 3 years, with an extra year dedicated to support and maintenance.

Leveraging the 5nm process node, the project promises enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and reduced chip size, positioning India as a frontrunner in semiconductor innovation.

MosChip's foray into the 5nm technology domain solidifies its global market presence, opening new avenues for turnkey ASIC solutions in both domestic and international markets. The versatile HPC SoC isn't limited to the HPC market; its applications extend to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing spaces, underscoring its transformative potential across various technological domains.
