Steel Strips Wheels Limited (SSWL), a leading manufacturer of steel and alloy wheels for automobiles, is proposing to expand its existing alloy wheels manufacturing unit at Jotana, Mehsana, Gujarat. The project aims to increase the production capacity of alloy wheels to meet the growing demand from the Indian automotive industry. The cost of the project is 402.07 Crores, whereas the cost of the existing project is 330.57 Crores.
The capacity of production is 2400 (2.5 Lakh Wheels). Industry: the Automobile Industry, Month-to-Month
The total land area is 273074 square meters.
Greenbelt Area: 109229.5 square meters (about forty percent of the total area)
Consumption of Water in Whole: 861.73 kiloliters per day
The Features of the Project
Installing the most cutting-edge machinery available for the production of alloy wheels, Implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing techniques with the goal of improving both productivity and quality, procedures of quality control that are very stringent in order to conform to international standards. Adoption of automation and robotics technology in order to improve operational effectiveness in production, commitment to the use of environmentally friendly production processes in order to reduce the negative effects on the environment.
As on November 2023,The project is in its final stages of completion. Approximately 80% of the project's work has been finished. By January 2024, all of the project work will have been finished.
