Super Auto Forge planning to set up Steel Forged Products Project in Tamil Nadu

Super Auto Forge Private Limited is planning a new Steel Forged Products Project in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu's Chipkot Vallam-North Industrial Park. The project is roughly 1,352 kilometres from Mumbai, India. The project will cost 500 crores. Super Auto Forge Private Limited is India's first and largest maker of cold and hot forged steel and aluminium parts. Since 1975, the company has been exporting its goods to North American and European OEMs, Tier 1 Automotive and Non-Automotive customers. 

The new Steel Forged items Project is anticipated to consolidate all of Super Auto Forge's assembly lines under one roof and produce defense-related items. The company presently supplies items to OEMs, but the new project will allow them to add value to the product so that it is ready to assemble. The project is expected to be a boon for the Kancheepuram district, as it is expected to create jobs and boost the local economy.

As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
