Telangana to Host India's First Taiwan Tech & Industrial Park

Taiwanese-based Allegiance Group has partnered with the Telangana government to establish the state’s first International Technology and Industrial Park (ITIP) in the ‘Future City.’ Eleven companies specializing in electronics, solar energy, and advanced manufacturing signed MoUs in Taipei, marking a major milestone in this collaboration.

The project is expected to attract Rs 2,000 crore (USD 231.2 million) in Taiwanese foreign direct investment (FDI) and create approximately 100,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Chairman Simon Lee highlighted Telangana’s strong base of high-tech industries and skilled workforce, stating, “We aim to combine foreign manufacturing expertise with India’s labor pool to build a thriving economy for all.”

Furthermore, Allegiance Group and the Telangana government will develop "Formosa Town," India’s first township exclusively for the Taiwanese community, providing expatriates with a familiar and supportive environment. The agreement was formalized in the presence of representatives from the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in India (TCCIN), the Telangana government, and the India Taipei Association (ITA).
