UltraTech Cement Commissions New Mills and Terminals, Expands Capacity

UltraTech Cement, a part of the Aditya Birla Group, has expanded its production capacity with the commissioning of two new cement mills at its Maihar plant in Madhya Pradesh. The first mill has a capacity of 3.35 MTPA, while the second, with a capacity of 2.7 MTPA, is set to be commissioned in the June quarter.

Additionally, the company has successfully completed the brownfield expansion of its grinding unit in Dhule, Maharashtra, adding 1.2 MTPA of capacity. Another brownfield expansion at the Durgapur grinding unit in West Bengal has added 0.60 MTPA.

UltraTech has also inaugurated its first bulk terminal in Uttar Pradesh, located in Lucknow, with a capacity of 1.8 MTPA. This terminal will strengthen the company’s supply chain and distribution network in the region.

With these additions, UltraTech Cement’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity has increased to 183.36 MTPA.
