The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) have partnered to establish Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants across Delhi, aimed at transforming cow dung and dairy waste into clean energy. Supported by the Union Home Ministry, this initiative incentivizes livestock farmers by offering ₹1 per kilogram for cow dung collection. Beyond generating sustainable fuel, the project is a critical component of the government's strategy to clean the Yamuna River by 2028, improve urban sanitation, and promote organic farming.
