AP Goes Big on Green: ₹2.94 Lakh Cr. Energy Deal

On November 13, the Government of Andhra Pradesh signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth ₹2.94 lakh crore in the renewable energy sector, ahead of the two-day CII Partnership Summit.

The agreements span areas including pumped hydro storage, green hydrogen, wind, solar, biofuels, and energy storage, and are expected to create over 69,800 employment opportunities across multiple districts. Key participants include Navayuga Engineering, Chinta Green Energy, ReNew Group, Hero Future Energies, among others. Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand highlighted that these partnerships reinforce Andhra Pradesh’s position as a national leader in the green energy transition.

The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar, and other officials, underscoring the state’s commitment to accelerating clean energy development.
