AP's Veligonda Tender: ₹370.42 Crore Canal Lining Contract

The Irrigation & CAD Department of Andhra Pradesh has floated a tender for major canal infrastructure works under the Veligonda Project in Dornala Mandal, Prakasam district.

Valued at ₹370.42 crore, the contract involves cement concrete (CC) lining of the feeder canal from km 0.000 to km 21.800, along with the construction of CC retaining walls at structurally vulnerable embankment sections to enhance canal stability and water conveyance efficiency.

The scope of work includes excavation through various soil types, including boulders up to 0.3 m diameter and ordinary rock up to 0.6 m diameter, excluding blasting. Additional components include seating of embankments, formation of filter drains, and catchwater drains, which are critical for the long-term sustainability and functionality of the canal system.

The last date for bid submission is 15 October 2025.
