Kannur's ₹118.64 Cr Sewage Treatment Plant Tender Issued

The Local Self Government Department (LSGD), Kerala has issued a tender for the development of a sewage treatment plant (STP) at Marakkarkandy in Kannur Corporation, under the Design, Build, Operate, and Transfer (DBOT) model.

Estimated at ₹118.64 crore, the project includes the design, construction, and operation of a 7 MLD STP (subject to adjustment based on site conditions) on a 140-cent land parcel. The selected bidder will be responsible for delivering the detailed design, executing construction, and operating and maintaining the facility for seven years, including a two-year defect liability period (DLP) post-completion.

This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing urban sanitation and wastewater infrastructure in Kannur, reflecting the state’s commitment to sustainable and modern waste management practices.

Bid submission closes on 30 August 2025.
