Technopark's Green Leap: New STP Sets National Benchmark

Technopark, located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has commissioned a state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant (STP) featuring advanced automation and membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly operations.

The newly commissioned STP uses MBR systems, which combine traditional biological treatment with advanced membrane filtration. This results in highly efficient wastewater treatment and produces high-quality effluent suitable for non-potable reuse, including landscape irrigation. Additionally, MBR technology requires a smaller physical footprint compared to conventional treatment systems.

With a daily treatment capacity of 7.5 lakh litres, the plant is designed to meet stringent reuse and environmental standards. By adopting this cutting-edge solution, Technopark is setting a national benchmark in wastewater management for industrial and technology campuses across India.
