Automating Excellence: The New TLA at KIMS Hospitals

KIMS Hospitals has inaugurated its Total Laboratory Automation (TLA) system at its Secunderabad facility, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The launch, held on January 10, 2026, was attended by senior leadership and medical professionals, with Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMS Group of Hospitals, presiding as the chief guest. The TLA system integrates advanced dry chemistry technologies with fully automated workflows to enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce manual intervention, minimise pre-analytical and analytical errors, and improve biosafety.

Dr. Radhika Chowdary, Chief of Laboratory Medicine, said the automation enables faster turnaround times and delivers consistent results, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

The automated facility is designed to efficiently handle high diagnostic volumes, reduce turnaround times for both routine and emergency tests, and strengthen patient safety. With this initiative, KIMS Hospitals reinforces its leadership in advanced diagnostics and underscores its commitment to innovation, quality, and patient-centric healthcare in the region.
