Fortis Healthcare will invest more than ₹900 crore to significantly expand its Mohali campus, as announced by Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora. The project aims to establish a world-class centre of excellence in healthcare, reinforcing Punjab’s position as a leading destination for advanced medical services and health tourism.

Expansion Highlights:

Additional 400+ Beds: The expansion will increase the hospital’s capacity substantially, building on the existing 375-bed facility, which currently includes 194 ICU beds.

13.4-Acre Campus: The project will be developed across 13.4 acres, enhancing infrastructure for specialized treatments in cardiac sciences, oncology, organ transplants, robotic surgery, and critical care.

Job Creation: The expansion is expected to generate over 2,500 direct and 2,200 indirect employment opportunities in the region.

Minister Arora noted that Fortis has already invested ₹1,500 crore in Punjab, establishing a strong healthcare network across the state. The new investment underscores the government’s commitment to promoting public-private partnerships and positioning Punjab as a national leader in medical excellence and innovation.
