Max Healthcare: The ₹1,000 Crore Pune Play

Max Healthcare Institute (MHIL) has announced its expansion into Pune with the development of a 450-bed super speciality hospital, backed by an investment exceeding ₹1,000 crore.

Strategically located in Yerawada, one of Pune’s prime areas, the hospital is expected to be operational within the next three years. This will mark Max Healthcare’s fourth facility in Western India, further strengthening its footprint in Maharashtra. The project includes the acquisition of a 100 percent equity stake in Yerawada Properties (YPPL), with plans for additional development in the coming years.

Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare, highlighted Pune’s rapidly growing economy and expanding middle-class population as key factors driving the demand for a high-end, technologically advanced super speciality hospital. He noted, “Our entry into Pune is a strategic milestone for Max Healthcare and aligns with our long-term vision of expanding our presence in key healthcare markets.”
