Omaxe Bets Big on Amritsar with Landmark ₹1,000 Crore Township

Real estate developer Omaxe has announced plans to invest over ₹1,000 crore in developing a large-scale integrated township in Amritsar, Punjab. Named New Amritsar Township, the project will span 260 acres along the GT Road, just 12 minutes from the Golden Temple.

The township will be developed through Omaxe’s subsidiaries in phases, with Phase 1 covering 127 acres. This phase will offer residential plots of 300, 500, and 1,000 square yards, alongside commercial spaces, a school, clubhouse, landscaped greens, internal roads, 24x7 utilities, and robust security infrastructure.

The project is RERA-registered, with all necessary approvals and financial closure already secured. Development is expected to be completed in phases, with Phase 1 targeted for delivery within four years.

Strategically located, the township will benefit from major regional infrastructure developments, including:

The 99 km Nakodar-Amritsar branch of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway

The 98 km Amritsar Ring Road

A 4.5 km elevated corridor

A ₹300 crore expansion of the Amritsar Airport

“The project is designed to support a balanced and scalable lifestyle, meeting both current demands and future growth,” Omaxe stated.
