To strengthen connectivity to the upcoming Noida International Airport, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a ₹1,700 crore project for a new 25-km road linking Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad to the airport’s eastern side.
The proposed road will extend from the 130-metre-wide road at Sirsa in Greater Noida, passing through YEIDA-developed areas and villages such as Sirsa, Aleda, and Thora, directly connecting to the airport. Of the total project cost, ₹1,400 crore has been allocated for land acquisition and ₹300 crore for construction. The project will be executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
This new route will serve as an alternative to the existing western access via the Yamuna Expressway, significantly easing travel from Ghaziabad and Greater Noida West.
Additionally, a 3-km link road is being planned to connect the YEIDA and Greater Noida corridors. Once completed, the road is expected to reduce congestion on the Yamuna Expressway and enhance regional connectivity, supporting both passenger and cargo movement at the upcoming airport.
