A major infrastructure initiative—a 41.5 km greenfield radial road connecting the Raviryal Interchange on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) to the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) near Amangal—is poised to transform connectivity and promote decentralised urban growth in the city’s southern corridor.
Planned as a 3+3 lane, partially access-controlled expressway (expandable to 4+4 lanes), the corridor will include provisions for a future Metro or rail transit line, along with green buffers, cycle tracks, and pedestrian pathways. Strategically aligned with Hyderabad Metro Phase 2-B and the upcoming Bharat Future City, the project is designed to decongest existing routes and integrate remote zones into the city’s urban fabric.
With an estimated investment of ₹4,030 crore, the project will be developed in two phases:
Phase 1 (Raviryal to Meerkhanpet) spans 19.2 km, with a construction cost of ₹1,665 crore and ₹246 crore earmarked for land acquisition.
Phase 2 (Meerkhanpet to Amangal) covers 22.3 km, at a construction cost of ₹2,365 crore and ₹345 crore for land acquisition.
The total land requirement stands at 1,003.61 acres, including 202 acres held by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) and 231.72 acres of notified forest land.
Following the bid process via the state’s e-procurement platform, Rithwik Projects was awarded Phase 1, while Larsen & Toubro (L&T) secured Phase 2. The project is expected to play a pivotal role in driving infrastructure-led development and enhancing regional mobility in Telangana.
