Telangana's Road to Riches: ₹60,799 CR Infrastructure Push

Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the state government, with support from the Centre, has initiated road development projects worth over ₹60,799 crore to transform Telangana’s transport infrastructure.

Key projects include the eight-laning of the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway at a cost of ₹10,400 crore, the ₹36,000-crore Regional Ring Road (RRR), a 52-km elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam costing ₹8,000 crore, and a new greenfield highway connecting Bharat Future City to Rajahmundry Port valued at ₹20,000 crore. In addition, ₹11,000 crore has been earmarked for the upgradation of rural, mandal, and district roads across the state.

Minister Reddy stated that these large-scale infrastructure initiatives are designed to position Telangana as a global investment destination, attract multinational companies, and create employment opportunities for lakhs of youth. The Regional Ring Road, jointly funded by the state and Centre, will connect all districts through a six-lane expressway, enhancing connectivity, safety, and economic development across the region.
